Which Social Media Platform should you be on for your small business?

Social media is an important part of your promotional strategy. With so many options and limited time, it can be overwhelming. Choosing 1-3 platforms and doing it well will have greater ROI than trying to create a presence on all platforms and succeeding at none. Start with one platform and master it before adding a second and third.

3 Steps To Determining Which Social Media Platform/s are best for your small business

The first element to help you decide on which platform is to determine where your target market is. Which platforms do your customers and potential customers use? (I will be writing an in-depth article on this soon, so sign up to my email list to get an update when this and other articles are live).

Secondly, consider which platform suits your business, products and brand. Do you have a visual product? Then Pinterest and Instagram will be a great fit. A fun/chatty brand with a little sass? Twitter will be your space.

Lastly, consider your goals. Want to create a community? Twitter and Facebook can help with that. Want to showcase your latest releases? Instagram and Snapchat will be your platforms.
